Fake JSON that looks like a real API response
Front-end mocks, API contract tests and fixtures need JSON that behaves like production data. RNDGen writes typed values (numbers, booleans and null for blanks), names and emails that match, and dates in the format you choose.

]Shapes for every use
- List of objects, the usual REST response.
- List of arrays, compact for charts and tables.
- Keyed object, a map by id for quick lookups in fixtures.
- JSON Lines, one record per line, for streaming tools, Elasticsearch, BigQuery and other bulk loaders.
{"id":1,"first_name":"Colton","last_name":"Wintheiser","email":"[email protected]","age":39,"is_active":true}

When the front end needs to call something rather than read a file, turn the same schema into a Mock API: a hosted REST endpoint with paging, sorting, filters and stored changes. For other formats see theCSV, SQL and Excel generators.
FAQ
Are numbers and booleans typed in the JSON?
Yes. Numbers are numbers, true and false are booleans, and empty values are null, so the file matches what a real API would return.
Which JSON shapes can I get?
A list of objects, a list of arrays, or one object keyed by id, pretty-printed or compact. JSON Lines (one object per line) is available for streaming tools and bulk loaders.
Can I get nested data from related tables?
With related tables you get one JSON object with an array per table, and child rows point to real parent ids. If you need a live endpoint instead of a file, use a Mock API.
How large can the file be?
Up to 100,000 rows without an account, 1,000,000 on a free account and 5,000,000 on Pro and Team.
